Edge Imaging acquires Lasting Images Photography

Effective Aug. 31, 2021, Edge Imaging Inc., the largest Canadian-owned and operated school digital imaging company, acquired the school photography business of Lasting Images Photography of St. Catharines, Ontario. This is the second acquisition for Edge Imaging during the pandemic: In February, the  Toronto-based company acquired Bob Johnson Photography.

James Aziz, CEO, Edge Imaging

Last October, the Dead Pixels Society interviewed James Aziz, CEO of Edge Imaging, about its growth strategy, which includes acquisitions. Aziz joined Edge at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We have a very large position in the province of Ontario and we are now working in some of the Western provinces in Canada as well,” said Aziz. “We are going to continue to grow organically and we’re going to continue to grow through acquisitions. I’ve had the opportunity over my career to be involved in at least a dozen major acquisitions. It’s part of the work I like to do and I entirely believe there’s a great opportunity for Edge to continue down that path.”
